Righto. A few of us discussed online a little regarding the CNY decoration yesterday night.
And these are the following suggestions:
1) Draw an Ox/Bull/Cow on the board. A few suggestions for the pic of the ox/bull cow...
2) Border the board with 'O' and 'X' (OXOXOX)
3) Interesting Information on CNY : different holidays in different countries
..Sorry i forgot the rest of the suggestions as most of the time we were crapping.. but do fill it in for me.
Basically, we're gonna paste the board with mahjong paper first, then border it with something (hong bao??) to represent the OXOXOX, draw and paint the ox/bull/cow, write the interesting cny info on 'scrolls' and paste it on the board. the rest are still up to the class to decide.
In the meanwhile, please kindly bring whatever markers, paint, HONG BAOS, or cny decorations you have at home.
Those who are unable to help in the decoration after schl on monday, please also inform wen eng.

Issue #1 Personality profiling
Please go to this website http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/Jtypes1.htm and complete the personality profiling test. Then pls inform me the personality type you belong to. The sch is going to group you guys up according to your personality types for some personality profiling dno wad thingy. haha. Latest to inform me by 19th jan(next monday:D)
Issue #2 CNY notice board decorations competition
Tasks: 1. Each JC2 CG is to decorate their CG home room(in our case, e2-2 e3-2 [paiseh for typing wrongly]) notice board according to the theme:"A Blissful year" and/or on the year of Ox. 2. Each CG is to incorporate some interesting facts about CNY(e.g. Introduction of Chinese New Year flowers, traditions, symbolism of practices, food etc) in their decoration. It is highly encouraged to put up the information in Chinese and a different laguage(e.g. Chinese and English, Chinese and Malay) so that students from other racial groups can also learn about the traditions and culture of CNY(This component is taken into account for judging) 3. All decorations must be completed by Tuesday, 20th January 2009
******** We'd be doing the decorations on monday, 19th jan 2009 after lessons.(those who cannot make it pls inform me) The details of how the notice board should be decorated is not decided yet. Do post any suggestions on the tagboard. And meanwhile do keep checking out the class blog:D

school reopen! =D /// 1:10 PM
Gooda morningg 08S203 aliens out there! Are you excited about school starting soon? do you miss having lessons? do you crave for the canteen food? Worrying that you are going to loose contact with your lecture notes? I bet you all do. HAHA! but before you embrace the start of a JC2 life (oh so sorry if it sounds old.. =x), please be aware of the following:
1) report to classroom E3-2 on the 1st day of school before 7.30am. timetable will then be given. 2) bring you GC for MATHS TEST!!! (graphing techniques; differentiation incl. applications) 3) ...and most importantly, don't forget to bring YOURSELF. There will be goodies leftover from the BBQ waiting for you. :P 4) also equally important, rest well and make sure your eyelids won't rest during lessons :D
We will be having a short bowling outing at downtown east first. and then we will be going to tampines GIANT to purchase the food.
If you're taking public transport to Dr vaz's house, take bus 81 from pasir ris int to kovan MRT, and then bus 70 (10 stops..) to somewhere near serenity park, and then walk to his house as shown on the above map. [alternative but longer method: take bus 39 from pasir ris to yishun mrt and then take bus 854] that's the shortest route we can find unless you want to take cab.
talking about cab, some of us we'll be taking taxi there from giant tampines since the food is rather heavy (like the bee hoon). It is more advisable if you share a cab there bcos the cost will be around the same and it takes a much much shorter time. :D SO meet at downtown east bus stop at 11.45am (have your own lunch first). If you can't make it at the point of time, you can always join us later at tampines giant go to Dr vaz's house straightaway.
oh! those who haven't pay up the class fund pls rmb to pay on that day ^^
